| This East Austin lot had four large pecan trees scattered around the buildable area. The homeowner wanted to save the trees and so the house was designed around them. The shade of the trees, use of 10" thick ICF exterior walls and a high efficiency HVAC unit make the house perform outstandingly through out the seasons. It is maintained without the mechanical system for about a third of the year.
The house is designed to evolve into a multifamily dwelling in the future. |
